MAN PLEADS NOT GUILTY TO RAPING HOUSESITTER

Patrick O'Sullivan, a 20 year old East Moriches man, is accused of raping and terrorizing awoman for nearly an hour in a Stony Brook house last month.  He was indicted on rape and othercharges.  O'Sullivan, of 11 Beverly Lane, pleaded not guilty to raping the woman who washousesitting for a friend of hers.  The woman and O'Sullivan were strangers.  The woman'shands were tied behind her back with duct tape, she used her tongue to dial 911 for help. O'Sullivan, who wore a mask, entered the house through an unlocked kitchen door about 11 p.m. onNovember 20.  When the woman, who was alone in another room, went into the kitchen toinvestigate the noise, O'Sullivan pointed a loaded .22-caliber rifle at her.  The 10-countindictment against him included four counts of predatory sexual assault, a crime that carries apunishment of life in prison.  He was also charged with rape, criminal sexual act, sexualabuse, burglary and two counts of criminal use of a firearm.
