MISSING GIRL, 2, MAY HAVE BEEN SOLD FOR CRACK (Mother Tells Police She Pawned Daughter)

Lasondra Diane Smith, a 20 year old mother of a 2 year old, was arrested Friday and is now in jail on charges of child abuse and child abandonment.  According to Ron Jones of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Smith has given conflicting reasons for the girl's disappearance.  The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is hoping a $5,000 reward leads them to the missing girl whose mother said she traded her for crack cocaine.  Keteria Alexis Blackburn and her mother, Smith, were reported missing by the child's paternal grandmother in February.  The pair were sighted over the next couple of months but then in April or May only mother was sighted.  Anyone with information is asked to call (205)481-4213.
