MISSING TENNESEE GIRLS FOUND ALIVE, SUSPECTED KILLER ADAM MAYES SHOOTS SELF DEAD

Two Tennessee girls missing since their mother and sister were murdered were rescued todayin Mississippi, where their suspected abductor, Adam Mayes, apparently shot himself to death. Alexandria and Kyliyah Bain, ages 12 and 8, were rescued by units with the Mississippi HighwayPatrol.  Mayes, 35, who is suspected of abducting them and killing JoAnn and Adrienne Bain,was found after he shot himself in the head and was later pronounced dead in an areahospital.  JoAnn and Adrienne were killed in their Tennessee home on April 27 and then takenwith the two youngest daughters to Mayes' home in Mississippi.  Mayes' ex-wife, Teresa Mayesand Adam Mayes' mother, Mary were arrested and charged with 'especially aggravatedkidnapping'.  According to the warrants, Teresa Mayes told police she witnessed Adam killJoAnn in the garage of Bain's home, and then kill Adrienne Bain in the home itself.  Adam andTeresa then took the dead bodies and the two young girls to the Mayes' home where Adam allegedlyburied the two bodies.  The bodies of mother and daughter were found in the backyard of thehome Mayes shares with Teresa and his mother and father.
