NORTH CAROLINA MAN SENTENCED TO OVER 11 YEARS IN PRISON FOR USING A COMPUTER TO ENTICE A MINOR TO ENGAGE IN SEXUAL ACTIVITY

Ron Fouraker, a 55 year old man from Conover, North Carolina, was sentenced today by UnitedStates District Judge William F. Duffey to over 11 years in federal prison on charges of using acomputer to attempt to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity. He traveled from North Carolinato Georgia to sexually abuse a young girl. He was sentenced to 11 years, 3 months in federal prisonto be followed by a life of supervised release. Fouraker pleaded guilty to these charges on March27, 2006. He had been communicating on-line with undercover FBI Agent working as part of the FBI'sSafe Child Task Force.
