‘PERV’ NEW JERSEY TEACH BOLTS

William Thompson, a 43 year old former Somerville High School music teacher charged with sexually assaulting three students, is believed to have fled New Jersey.  Also known as J.R. Thompson, he resigned from the school district in November.  He was charged Wednesday with aggravated sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a minor.  The alleged assaults took place between 1996 and 2005 in Thompson's home or car.  After authorities began investigating a 16 year old girl's allegations, two other students came forward with similar accusations.
