James Vrionis, a 59 year old self-appointed archbishop of an Orthodox church in Queens, pleaded guilty yesterday to sexually abusing a boy nearly 30 years after making a similar admission in Pennsylvania.  The pastor of Sts. Fanourios and Gerasimos Greek Orthodox Cathedral, was sentenced to a year's probation after he admitted groping a 14 year old boy at his Woodside church.  He faced 90 days in jail on two misdemeanor charges of sex abuse and attempted sex abuse.  Instead, he pleaded guilty  and was ordered to register as a sex offender under Megan's Law.  Vrionis made a similar deal in 1970, when he was charged with sodomizing two 14 year olds.  He was defrocked by the Greek Orthodox Church but he moved to New York, started a new church and again abused a teen.
