PIANO TEACHER FONDLED GIRLS
Malcolm Brenner, a 65 year old retired city music teacher, was charged in 2003 with sexually abusing three of his young private piano students in Brooklyn. Brenner, of Queens, was accused of molesting two sisters, ages 10 and 12, and another 10 year old girl during hour-long piano lessons in their Sheepshead Bay homes. Prosecutors charged he fondled the girls and forced them to touch him during weekly sessions from April through November. Bail was set at $5,000 during his arraignment on December 8 on charges of sexual abuse, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child.
Brenner was sentenced yesterday to three years probation. He pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of a child in exchange for no jail. He was also ordered to stay away from the girls and is prohibited from teaching anyone younger than 18.
