State Senator Carl Kruger (D-Brooklyn) vowed to step up efforts to make any sex between educators and students illegal, even if the student is old enough to consent.  What does 'consensual' mean to a 17 year old when her teacher is telling her 'I'm going to fail you unless you do X, Y, Z?' said Kruger.  The bill is currently in committee, but now that the state budget is almost done, Kruger plans to renew his push with Chancellor Joel Klein's backing.
