POLICE ARREST MAN IN SEX CASE

Scott Widom, a 44 year old Mineola man, was arrested Sunday night when he tried to meet a person who he thought was a teenage girl, with whom he had been chatting via instant messaging and having sexually explicit online conversations.  The girl was an undercover investigator posing as a teenager.  Widom, a deliveryman for an Albertson deli, was arraigned on two counts of first degree attempted disseminating indecent material to minors, a felony.  He was released on $25,000 bond.
