PRISONS END ‘SEX’ THERAPY

A treatment program for sex offenders in state prisons has been suspended in the wake of a federal court ruling.  Calling last month's ruling by US District Judge David Hurd outrageous, Corrections Commissioner Glenn Goord said it was being appealed.  He insisted that he could not continue the program under conditions set down by Hurd, and added that a mandatory counseling program would be used in its place.
