RABBI REBUTS SEX CHARGES

PFMLIT CLERGY, General, SEX OFFENDERS AND OTHERS IN POSITIONS OF TRUST

Rabbi Baruch Lanner, a 51 year old New Jersey rabbi, resigned from a national organization last year after several former students said he sexually abused them.  The rabbi asked a judge to dismiss all charges although he pleaded not guilty earlier this year to charges of criminal sexual contact.  He said the girls fabricated the charges because they had conflicts with him while he ran a high school in Monmouth County.
