RECORDS: 37 ARRESTED, INDICTED ON CHILD SEX CRIMES IN BEXAR COUNTY IN AUGUST

Bexar County law enforcement agencies arrested or indicted 37 people on child sex crime charges in August, according to court records.

The suspects were charged with a an array of crimes, including indecency with a child, sexual assault of a child, aggravated sexual assault of a child and super aggravated sexual assault of a child.

August had the second highest number of suspects that were either arrested or indicted on child sex crimes so far this year. In July, 42 people had child sex crime charges, court records show.

So far, 272 suspects have been arrested or charged with child sex crimes in 2019 in Bexar County.
Mugshots for Alexander Quintanilla, Oscar Gonzalez-Lopez, James Edward Denny, Valentino Juarez Matehuala and Joe Martinez Garcia were not available, according to jail records.

Quintanilla and Gonzalez-Lopez were indicted with aggravated sexual assault to a child while Denny, Matehuala and Garcia were indicted with indecency with a child.
