SAY TEEN LIED ABOUT RAPE
A 14 year old girl originally told investigators a man followed her off a city bus Friday afternoon before pulling her into the rear lobby of a W. 138th Street apartment building and raping her. This sparked a manhunt but investigators became suspicious when inconsistencies in her story began to emerge. Yesterday morning, the girl recanted and was charged as a juvenile offender for filing a false police report.
