SCHOOL SEX REPORTS UP SINCE CRACKDOWN

Since Mayor Giuliani proposed a new law threatening jail for staffers who fail to report school related sex offenses, allegations by students and employees have skyrocketed.  A staggering 134 reports of potential sex offenses have been reported to police from May 21 to June 7.  Only 12 sex offense cases were reported over the same time period last year.  An overwhelming majority of the cases involve boys attacking girls, sources said.  Schools Investigator Ed Stancik reports that accusations of sexual misconduct reported to his office shot up 63 percent over the same period.
