Gonzaga President John Leary sexually abused boys while running the university in the 1960s, but his crimes were covered up, the Oregon Province of the Society of Jesus admits.  Leary, a priest who died in 1993, led the Jesuit-run school from '61 to '69.  Leary denied allegations in 1966, and there was no probe.  But three years later, suspicious city authorities gave him 24 hours to get out of town or face arrest.  He resigned for health reasons.
