SEX CASE SETTLEMENT WASN’T FRUGAL: PAPER

Jeff Smith, 59, public television's Frugal Gourmet, was accused of sexually molesting seven men, most of them had been teenage employees from 1973 to 1981.  Settling the sexual abuse accusations against Smith was more than $5 million.  No apology or admission of wrongdoing from him was included in the settlement.
