SEX OFFENDER ARRESTED FOR ENDANGERMENT

Wallace M. Lee, Jr., a 52 year old convicted sex offender, was arrested last week for making sexual gestures toward four young children in Shirley.  Three girls, between the ages of 11 and 15, and a 10 year old boy were walking along 29 Broadway in Shirley around 4 p.m. on May 4 when Lee waved to them.  He then allegedly made a gesture with his hands and mouth simulating a sex act.  The children fled, returned home and told what had to their families.  Lee is a level three registered sex offender and has lived at the Shirley address for about one year.  He was convicted in 1999 of molesting a child in Cobb County, Georgia and was sentenced to five years in prison.  He is charged with endangering the welfare of a child and his bail was set at $5,000.
