SEX OFFENDER SAFETY ZONE BILL MOVES FORWARD
House bill 1147 would set up a zone 850 feet around schools where sex offenders would be barred from living. If the bill does pass and become a law in Washington, it could face legal challenges because opponents contend it infringes on sex offenders' rights.
