SEX OFFENDER TRAILERS SHUTTERED, BUT REMAIN ON SITE

Suffolk County Legislator Jay Schneiderman said on Tuesday that the two trailers have beenpermanently closed and are padlocked, although they have not been physically removed from theirlocations in Riverside and Westhampton.  The county relocated approximately 26 homelessconvicted sex offenders from the trailers as of Monday, May 27.  The individuals were placedin shelters across Suffolk County away from families and children and with no more than one persite.
