Craig Roffman, a 30 year old teacher at Brooklyn's James Madison High School, was arrested onJuly 12, 2005, for allegedly e-mailing child porn to a man in Florida. He was arrested after policeexecuting a search warrant at his Park Slope apartment found smut on his personal computer.

Roffman will serve just four months of weekends in jail after admitting on May 12, 2006, that hepossessed and e-mailed child pornography. In a plea deal made over the objections of prosecutor,Roffman, will also get 10 years' probation for pleading guilty to 187 counts of possession ofobscene sexual performance by a child.

On July 7, 2006, Roffman apologized before thanking the judge, his lawyer and even theprosecutors, who had objected to the plea deal of four months of weekends behind bars. Roffman isalso forbidden to set foot on the grounds of any school during 10 years' probation.
