SPECIAL AGENT IN CHARGE (SAC) GREGORY JONES, FBI ATLANTA, PROVIDES THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION
Sam Summerville, a 60 year old man from Winder, Georgia, was about to be arrested on May 22, 2006, by officers of the FBI's Safe Child Task Force, along with officers of the Barrow County Sheriff's Office, on Failure to Appear charges related to prior federal charges of Possession of Child Pornography, when Summerville retreated into his home and shot himself. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
