SUSPECT SOUGHT IN RAPE

Nassau police are looking for a rapist who they said kidnapped a 15 year old girl at gunpoint in Elmont, threw her into his van and blindfolded her before sexually assaulting her in a basement.  Afterward, he took her pants and gave her sweatpants to wear.  The exchange was an attempt by the attacker to keep any DNA evidence he might have left on the girl's pants from police.  The girl told police the man's van had curtains on the side and rear windows.  She also said he was about 6 feet tall and wore dark clothing with a matching shirt and pants that resembled a uniform.  Anyone with information may call a police confidential tip line at 800-244-8477.
