TEACHER AIDE CHARGED WITH RAPE OF PUPIL

Ned Barnes, a 23 year old teacher's aide at Westbury Middle School in Westbury, was arrested for having sex with a 14 year old female student.  Barnes, of 383 Barleau Street, Brentwood, faces three counts of second-degree felony rape and three counts of committing a criminal sexual act.  The attacks occurred in his vehicle on April 1 and 15, and in an otherwise unoccupied classroom on April 24.  He was arraigned yesterday and held on $75,000 cash bail or $150,000 bond.
