TEACHER ARRESTED ON CHILD-PORN CHARGES

Jeffrey M. Berke, a 57 year old special-education teacher for Lawrence Middle School, was arrested yesterday on child pornography charges after more than 100 explicit images were found on his home computer. He was charged with three felony counts of possessing child pornography after he turned himself in to police. Berke, of 334 Lincoln Avenue, Rockville Centre, has been a teacher for 15 years at the school at 195 Broadway.
