TEACHER NABBED IN KID SEX STING

Patrick Lombardo, a 47 year old Connecticut teacher, drove 60 miles to Mineola to seal a courtship with a tryst with a teenage boy after weeks of flirting online.  Lombardo, of 225 Goldenhill Street in Bridgeport, thought he was coming to Nassau to meet with a 15 year old boy for a sexual meeting.  When he showed up at a Dunkin' Donuts shop in Mineola, detectives arrested him.  The boy was actually an undercover detective.  Lombardo was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, and three counts of disseminating indecent material to a minor, a felony punishable by 2 1/3 to 7 years in prison.  He was arraigned and held on $50,000 bail.
