‘THIS EVIL WILL BE STAMPED OUT’
At Palm Sunday Mass, Cardinal Edward Egan spoke out from the pulpit for the first time, telling churchgoers at St. Patrick's Cathedral that this evil will be stamped out with all the fervor of the Lord. Egan's remarks came as a two-page pastoral letter was distributed to Catholics throughout the New York Archdiocese and just two days after embattled Brooklyn Bishop Thomas Daily released his own 10-page letter.
