TOLKIEN ‘PERV’ PAYOFF ENDS SAGA
The Catholic Church has settled out of court for $23,870 with a man who claimed he was abused by the priest-son of Lord of the Rings author J.R.R. Tolkien. The Rev. John Tolkien, who died in January at age 85, was accused of sexually abusing Christopher Carrie in the 1950s. He always denied the charges and was never tried.
