TRANSIT COP UNDERAGE SEX BUST

PFMLIT General, SEX OFFENDERS AND OTHERS IN POSITIONS OF TRUST, TRANSIT OFFICERS

Daniel Taylor, a 37 year old veteran city transit cop, was arrested on sex charges early yesterday in a New Jersey park.  He was taken into custody after a group of teenagers flagged down officers in a patrol car near an East Orange playground.  He was charged with sexual contact with four Newark 15 year olds, three boys and one girl, in Elmwood Park.  Taylor has been on the Transit Authority police force for 15 years and is currently assigned to it 30th Transit District in downtown Brooklyn.  He was expected to be arraigned today.
