UNKNOWN SUSPECT 108 – PORTSMOUTH

Reference: Attempted abduction

Date of Release: August 12, 2004

On August 11, 2004 at approximately 9:40 PM, two juvenile females were walking home in thearea behind Margarita's Restaurant at 775 Lafayette Rd. when an attempted abduction occurred.

\ The suspect is described as a whitemale, possibly in his 40's, approximately 5'8 – 5'9, heavy set with a short beard andgrayish hair. He was wearing a ball cap and a tee shirt of unknown color. His vehicle is describedas a dark colored, full-size SUV with possible Maine plates.

It is reported that after asking the two young women if they needed a ride, he brandished aknife, grabbed one of the girls by her arm and attempted to pull her into the vehicle. Bothpotential victims were able to escape without injury.
