MARINE RECRUITER HELD IN TEEN RAPE

PFMLIT ARMED FORCES, General, MARINE, SEX OFFENDERS AND OTHERS IN POSITIONS OF TRUST

Sgt. Shedrick Hamilton, a 34 year old Orange County Marine recruiter, has been charged with sex counts of rape, accused of having sex several times with a 16 year old girl who wanted to enlist.  Hamilton, of New Windsor, was also charged with six misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child after his arrest Friday.  Hamilton was assigned to the Marine Corps office in the town of Wallkill more than two years ago.  

Bail was set at $20,000.  His next court date is June 7.
