A 13 year old who was abducted at gunpoint from a school bus stop February 23, foiled the kidnapping-for-ransom and made a miraculous escape hours later.  The gunman, 22 year old Vicente Ignacio Beltran-Moreno, was still being sought.  The victim, Clay Moore, wasn't hurt except for scratches and scrapes. He was bound and taken to a wooded area in a but was able to get free after being left alone.  He escaped by using a safety pin, his teeth and his hands.  Moreno's Bradenton home was search by investigators and an arrest warrant was issued for him but authorities believe he has fled the state.

Beltran-Moreno was arrested on March 7.  He agreed to return voluntarily from his native Mexico after several days of negotiations.  Extradition proceedings were under way to get him back to Florida.
