A jury will begin considering whether a man should be executed for stabbing 13 year oldCrystal Brooks to death with a fork.  The jury convicted Martiez Davis, 21, of first degreemurder, attempted forcible rape and one count of armed criminal action.  He was acquitted of asecond count of armed criminal action.  In a videotaped confession played to jurors, Davissaid he and a friend named Jeffrey murdered Crystal.  Davis said it was Jeffrey who slashedthe girl's throat with a knife, but police do not believe Jeffrey even exists.  And a medicalexaminer who performed the autopsy testified the girl's throat was slashed with a fork, not aknife.
