FORMER MARYLAND DELEGATE ROBERT MCKEE PLEADS GUILTY TO POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY (Delegate Resigned Following Execution of Search Warrant)

Robert Allen McKee, age 59, of Hagerstown, pleaded guilty today to possession ofchild pornography.  McKee, a member of the Maryland House of Delegates since 1994, resignedfrom office earlier this year.  He was also the Executive Director of Big Brothers/Big Sistersof Washington County from 1978 until his resignation earlier this year.  McKee admitted thathe had obtained child pornography as early as 2004 through sites on the Internet and mail orderservice.  His journals document that he simultaneously printed images of child pornographyfrom the Internet and printed stories describing sexual acts between young boys and other youngboys or adult men.  He faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, followed by supervisedrelease for life and a fine of $250,000 for possession of child pornography.
