JAILER IN TEEN-INMATE MOLEST RAP

PFMLIT CORRECTIONS OFFICER, General, JAIL CAPTAIN, SEX OFFENDERS AND OTHERS IN POSITIONS OF TRUST

Captain Dominick Labruzzi, a 30 year old jail captain accused of fondling teenage inmates on Rikers Island, has been arrested after a month-long investigation.  The male inmates, ages 16 to 19, told investigators Labruzzi took them to locked areas of the jail, including a secluded basement section, touched some through their clothes and forced others to disrobe.  At least two of the inmates was asked for oral sex.  Labruzzi, a correction officer for five years, will be suspended immediately.  He is charged with 10 counts each of endangering the welfare of a child, forcible touching, sexual abuse and harassment.  He faces up to a year in prison.
