MAN INDICTED IN SEX-TRAFFIC CASE (Alleged pimp is said to be the first prosecuted under state law against forced sex labor)

Woodley Gaston, a 22 year old reputed pimp from South Ozone Park, has been indicted on acharge of sex trafficking, the first such prosecution under a new state law targeting forcedlabor. Gaston, of Rockaway Boulevard, was held on $350,000 bail by State Supreme CourtJustice James P. Griffin after he pleaded not guilty to a six-count indictment. Gaston hadpreviously been held without bail since his initial arrest in March on charges involving a 16 yearold girl. He is charged with sex trafficking, promoting prostitution, rape and other crimesand faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
