NO JAIL IN SEX CASE

Dan Marino, 45, a former head football coach at New Hyde Park High School, has been designated a Level 1 sex offender and received three years' probation for having an affair with a 16 year old student last year.  He pleaded guilty to third-degree attempted rape and was fired.  He will continue to get sex therapy and will undergo any additional treatment deemed necessary by the probation department.  He must tell police where he lives every year for the next decade.
