PAROLE OFFICIAL IN KID SEX STING

Chris Ortloff, a 61 year old state parole board member who served 20 years in theLegislature, appeared in court yesterday on a federal charge that he used the Internet to solicitsex with minors. Ortloff was arrested in a state police sting at a motel in Albany, herepeatedly emailed what he believed to be 11 and 12 year old sisters since June and tried toarrange a meeting to have sex with them. He could face 10 years to life in prison and a$250,000 fine if convicted.
