SIKESTON MAN JAILED FOR SEX CRIMES

SIKESTON — A Sikeston man is in custody for sex crimes after an incident Thursday.
According to release from Evelyn Aceves, Sikeston Department of Public Safety public information officer, the incident began Thursday when officers responded to Quick Chek, 1801 E. Malone, in reference to a suspicious incident.
The release said a female, who was visibly shaken, stated she was held against her will for three weeks by her boyfriend. She also stated her boyfriend had assaulted her multiple times, tied her wrist down and gave her an illegal substance against her will and sexually assaulted her.
The female said her life was threatened when she attempted to leave multiple times and she said she was also taken to various locations to have sexual intercourse with two males.
The investigation led to police filing charges against Kenneth James Bramlett, 41. Bramlett was arrested Friday and charged with six counts of first degree sodomy, first degree promoting prostitution, trafficking for sexual exploitation, first degree kidnapping and two counts of domestic assault.
Bramlett is currently in custody and being held on no bond and DPS is attempting to identify the two males who took part in the forced sexual activities.
