TEACHER’S AIDE CHARGED WITH SEX ABUSE
Laurence Freeman McKisson, a 53 year old teacher's aide, is accused of molesting nine children and logging the acts in his personal journal. He has been charged with 21 counts of sexual abuse. The first charges against McKisson were filed last week after a student at Edneyville Elementary School told the principal McKisson fondled him during a tutoring session. The latest charges filed Wednesday involve a 14 year old boy who had been helping McKisson pack boxes last week at his home in Etowah. The charges against McKisson include first degree statutory sex offender, which carries a 25 years to life sentence. He is being held on $2 million bond.
