TRIAL SET FOR HAMILTON MAN CHARGED WITH SEX CRIMES INVOLVING MINORS

BUTLER COUNTY —
A pre-trial hearing and trial date were set this morning for a Hamilton man charged with nine counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material, nine counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and one count of rape.
Johnanthony Boyd, 20, of the 1200 block of Vine Street, will have his hearing on Nov. 12 and his trial, expected to last three days, was set for Dec. 11, according to Butler County Common Pleas Court Judge Charles Pater.

After his appearance this morning, Boyd was led out of the courtroom by Butler County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

He was arrested by Hamilton detectives on May 24 and booked into the Butler County Jail, where he remains incarcerated in lieu of $205,000 bond. The alleged crimes occurred in July and September of 2018.
