Police: Wyandanch Man Faces Charges After Trying to Lure a Girl into His Car
A Wyandanch man is facing charges after trying to lure a girl into his car, police say.
News 12 is told it happened in Wyandanch on Patton Avenue near 26th Street.
Police say it was just after 3 p.m. Monday when Galo Macasfreire stopped his car and asked the 11-year-old girl to get in.
They say he was offering her candy and touched himself inappropriately.
Less than a half hour later police say they arrested him on the same street.
The 38-year-old Wyandanch man is charged with endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned on Tuesday.
Police say anyone who believes they may have been victimized should call 631-852-COPS to file a police report.
