ARREST IN TEEN’S KIDNAPPING
Israel Bonilla, a 22 year old New Cassel man who police said ran off with a 14 year old girl, was arrested on kidnapping charges on January 22 after the pair returned to Long Island from Virginia, five months after they left. Bonilla, of 279 Grand Boulevard, was charged with second degree kidnapping and first degree endangering the welfare of a child. He was being held on $50,000 cash and $100,000 bond. Bonilla and the girl, who left with him willingly, departed Long Island on August 27, 2006, for Richmond, Va., where the two lived together in an apartment. The girl became pregnant and wanted to return to Long Island.
