BNEI BRAK RABBI INDICTED FOR CHILD SEX ABUSE

An indictment was filed in Tel Aviv District Court today against 52 year old Rabbi YaakovVimer, a teacher from the ultra-Orthodox city of Bnei Brak who is suspected of sexually abusing oneof his students.  He allegedly committed sodomy and sexual assault on the then 12 year old boyover a two year period beginning in 2002 and ending in 2003.  Vimer allegedly sexuallyassaulted the boy dozens of times at school and in Vimer's home, forcibly secluding the boy in alocked classroom or a locked room in Vimer's home, force the boy to strip and then sodomized andsexually assaulted him.
