A 10-year-old girl from Colombia gave birth a a baby girl via cesarean section.  Thegirl is from an indigenous tribe in the town of Manaure, a town in the Colombian Department of LaGuajira.  Despite her young age, police may not prosecute the matter since the girl is fromthe Wayuu tribe, which is allowed to govern itself.  The father’s age is unknown.

Luis Alfredo Garavito, 42 confessed to murdering at least 140 children between 8 and 16 years old in a seven year rampage of bloodshed and sex attacks across Columbia.  He was sentenced to 52 years for two of the attacks.
