SEX OFFENDER RESIDENCY BILL FAILS

A bill that would have restricted sex offenders from living within a half-mile of their victims failed to pass out of committee, to the disappointment of the bill’s author, Senator Judy Robson, D-Beloit. The legislation pertains to sex offenders who are on probation or parole and whose victims request to be notified about the offender’s release into the community.
