CHILD MOLESTER GETS THREE YEARS

On December 2, 2009, detectives arrested 58 year old Jeffrey Quenton Johnson at his home onWest Mountain Drive. On November 30, a relative of two girls contacted the Sheriff's Department toreport a suspected abuse of the two pre-teen sisters. Based on an investigation, detectives suspectthe sexual abuse has been ongoing for the past three years. Johnson is charged with three felonycharges related to child sexual abuse and bail was set at $500,000. On March 12, 2010 Johnsonpleaded no contest to two counts of unlawful genital penetration with a foreign object of a childunder the age of 14. On June 3, 2010, Johnson was sentenced to three years in state prison, anagreed-upon plea, for two felony counts of sexual assault against two girls between the ages ofseven and 10. As part of the plea, he admitted his guilt and will have to register as a sexoffender for life. He apologized publicly in court for his actions.
