COP CHARGED IN SEX ABUSE OF DAUGHTER

A 35 year old New York City police officer has been arrested and charged with sodomizing his teenage daughter at his East Islip home on New Year's Eve.  Police believe he has been sexually abusing his daughter for about five years, but he has only been charged with the recent incident.  The officer was reported by the girls boyfriend early this month.  He was arraigned on one count of third-degree sodomy, a felony, yesterday.  He pleaded not guilty and was released on bail of $15,000 cash or $45,000 bond.  Third-degree sodomy is punishable by 1 to 3 years in prison.
