FORMER TEACHER FESSES UP TO SEX RAP

Paul Kerner, 62, a math tutor, was accused of sexually abusing a Sheepshead Bay High School student when she was 16 years old.  According to the New York Post, the student credits a younger teacher with saving her life by convincing her to stand up for herself.  She said her self-esteem was turned to shreds by Kerner.  She turned to English teacher Peter Cennamo, 29, and he helped her realize I will never be the victim again.  Cennamo got kicked out of the classroom along with Kerner who was busted Monday by the FBI.  Cennamo was suspended for having an inappropriate relationship with the girl.  A termination hearing is pending.  Kerner denied the charges but admitted he gave her money and a video game set.

Now, Kerner has pleaded guilty to having sex with the girl during trips to Atlantic City, saying Jesus made him admit the crime.  Kerner said, I did violate the law by doing certain sexual activities, I knew what I was doing.  When he was asked if he admitted bringing the girl to Atlantic City to have sexual intercourse, he said, I'm not physically capable of having sexual intercourse.  He faces up to three years and five months in prison and $250,000 in fines.  He remains free on $200,000 bond until his sentencing August 11.
