PENNSYLVANIA EYES WARNING LABELS FOR CYBER-SMUT SPAM

According to APBnews.com, state lawmakers are close to approving a bill that would require sexually oriented e-mail to be labeled.  This is in an effort to sheild children from adult material online.  The bill already passed the House and Senate with no opposition.  The measure now goes back to the Senate for a final vote after some last minute changes.  Advertisers or promotors who market pornography or other adult content would be required by the bill to identify or label the e-mails as ADV-ADULT in the subject line of an e-mail message.  The Internet service providers would be allowed to use software to filter or block obscene advertisements for their subscribers.
