Police say they have uncovered a ring that kidnapped girls and women and forced them to work as prostitutes in Michigan and possibly other states. Two men, Henry Davis, a 32 year old from Chicago and a 17 year old from Detroit, were arrested after a teenage girl led officers to a home in Detroit where seven women and girls, one only 13, were being held against their will. Davis was charged yesterday with nine felony counts. He is charged with four counts involving a 17 year old girl who police say was abducted from a Cleveland bus stop. In addition to the case of the 17 year old girl, he faces five charges involving a 20 year old woman in Detroit. He is charged with transporting a female for prostitution, pandering, accepting earnings from prostitution and two counts of criminal sexual conduct in the commission of a felony in connection with the woman. He could face up to life in prison if convicted.
